Merger Rumor
As everyone has heard there have been talks of a merger with Betty's Cleaning Services. As of right now there is no merger taking place. There are talks of merging our organizations but nothing has been finalized as of yet. Talks are still in the process to see if we can come to an agreement. This merger could be a great step for the company to reach out to a whole new client base. As the owner I am trying to work things out for the best of all my employees and Betty is doing the same for her company and employees. I would like to hear what everyone feels about the idea of a merger. The merger of the two companies could end up saving both companies a great deal of money in the long term. Mergers can be very complicate and will have employees start many rumors of jobs being elimiated, pay cuts or freezes, and change of locations. All these are possibilities. I want to keep an open policy on the talks so that everyone is fully informed.

New Procedures.
It has come to our attention that people are taking advantage of the time clock procedure. When clocking in for work it is recommended that you clock in a few minutes early in order to get to your work station and be ready to answer phones when your shift starts. For example, if your shift starts at 8 am you should not be punching the time clock at 8 since you should already be at your desk ready to take calls at 8. The procedure go the same way at the end of your shift. If you are working until 4 you should not be punching out right at 4 since it takes at least five minutes to shut your computer down for the night. If everyone follows this procedure it can take the stress off other employees who are already following these procedures. Effective June 13, 2014 the company will have a new policy on smoking at work. A designated smoking area will be located at the back of the building near the picnic table. Smoking will only be allowed during your lunch and 15 minute breaks. The new policy is to focus on improving production levels by having employees at their work stations being productive. If the new policy is not followed other actions will be taken which could eliminate smoking on company property all together. I am open for suggestions and feedback to make this a smooth transition. I would like to make this policy fair to all the smokers and non-smokers.
